Onpoint Appraisal Corporation: Using Technology to Improve Your Customer Experience

At Onpoint Appraisal Corporation, we have a confession to make: We are technology junkies. We use the latest technology available today to complete your appraisal without sacrificing quality or accuracy.

While appraisal fees haven't necessarily gone up over the years, the demands placed on individual appraisers have. We put quality first, but we know that turnaround time is a big concern since nobody likes to wait for results. Therefore, we've simply optimized our routine processes to do more in less time. The appraisers that have steadily adopted new technology have been the ones able to consistently satisfy their customers with more accurate reports, better customer service and faster turnaround times.

Let Onpoint Appraisal Corporation show you how we innovate ordering appraisals

In the past, a great deal of orders came in via fax and were confirmed with phone calls once we arrived at the office. It might be hours before a client even knew if we could do the order. Things are quite a bit different now and when an order is placed on the site, we receive an e-mail on our phones. We often log into this site from the field and send back an e-mail confirmation – including the time and date for the inspection if we've been able to talk to the occupant.

Onpoint Appraisal Corporation understands that real estate is all about timeliness. We use our resources to reduce waiting between communications since the speed at which we get things done directly effects your bottom-line. Through features on this website, we can actually speed up the entire appraisal process.

Data Gathering Tools

Gathering the data for an appraisal is an in-depth process. We spend quite a bit of time collecting both specific information about the subject property and general data about the local market and developing trends. Onpoint Appraisal Corporation takes advantage of technology to close the gap once again.

Instead of using paper forms and pencils and then re-keying all the information back at the office, don't be surprised to see us with a tablet PC or collecting data using an application developed for our phones that even lets us sketch a floorplan right on the spot. Rather than using that clumsy outdated tape measure, more and more appraisers are utilizing laser measuring devices that are quicker, more accurate, and can get into places that normal tape measures have always had problems with.

We combine all of these different technologies to ensure that the final report is complete and conclusive. This works to both our advantages by requiring less time for call-backs and revisions. Our goal is to save you time and money.

Modern appraisal report delivery ensures our clients have a number of ways to get their report

Delivery of appraisals as PDF files through e-mail is definitely the standard these days. Generally our clients are most comfortable with receiving PDFs attached to their e-mail. It's a lot faster than the old days before e-mail. But, we've even been able to innovate how you receive your report with this website.

Everyone knows how frustrating it is to lose a file. Or have you ever had an attachment blocked because of the file size? We've come up with a solution for those problems, too.  Whenever we send an appraisal, the client gets a link sent to their email to retrieve the PDF. So, at that point, it doesn't matter if all the extra photos and maps in the report result in a large file that would normally be blocked by e-mail. And the best thing is that the file will be hosted on this site for 90 days. So if anything happens to the file, you can log back in here and retrieve it again - saving you time, since we won't even need to run back to the computer.

Finally, we use all digital workfiles...

It would probably be easier if appraisers could complete an assignment, give it to the client and never be concerned with seeing that document again. However, appraisals are used to show the condition of a property on the inspection date. Therefore, appraisers are required by law to keep their reports for 5 years, allowing them to recall any appraisal at any time to either defend the valuation or to be used in other legal proceedings.

Here again, Onpoint Appraisal Corporation uses all the technology available to us technology to improve service. By storing every aspect of the appraisal - notes, sketches, supporting documentation and calculations - along with the appraisal electronically, we can pull up the entire file whenever it's needed and recall just what that report was about.

We just wanted to give you a little bit of insight into how we use our technology daily. Utilizing the right software, services, gadgets and gizmos allows the appraiser to deliver reports quicker, more efficiently and with higher degrees of accuracy.
